For the last six years during the summer, I have taken a long break from the internet, mostly from social media and the news. It began in 2018 in France when we spent a month in Grenoble.
I’ve removed the IG app on and off for weeks at a time, but as the first beautiful, sunny and hot weekend arrived, it is a good time to start my break.
The first few years I did this, I was surprised at how much time I recovered. I left my phone downstairs for an entire day, with nothing to check, text messages could go unanswered or I saw them on the computer.
