Over the past months I’ve been drawing with dry media much more than before.
I’m trying to add steps to my work so I can insert a bit more reflection into it.
I also realized that the more I work with one drawing, like sketching it quickly, using the viewfinder, cropping, zooming and then reworking it into a new page is giving me a lot more to work from.
I made one painting that I will show later, that started with a scribble.
The painting is almost finished. It’s the first I paint on wood and I’m fascinated by the process and the result. But as wood is more expensive and bulkier I need to pace myself.
I want to show you some pages of my private sketchbook in pencil, some in charcoal but it smudges. Mostly I stick with graphite:
