I'm conflicted about this. I'm all for everyone's right to create in whatever way they choose, but somehow 'intuitive painting' (thanks for the term) pisses me off when it gets put forward as the same thing as what someone is doing who has trained and worked for years on their art...
Oh definitely! It's not to diminish anyone's practice! It's more about the intentionality of marks and what you want to express. I also splodge around but then pick a direction and take it from there.
